About Meg
Meg has always had a love of the colourful and unusual, she has an amazing eye for colour and loves pushing the boundaries with unique colour combinations. Her cutting is firmly rooted in traditional techniques but over years she has adapted her skills to make something truly her own.
Meg Piper Hair has focus on inclusivity and sustainability. We do the up most to make you feel comfortable in our chair while at the same time being kind to the planet. All our services are priced on the hair you have on your head, not anything else and all the products including our colours are all vegan and organic.

Starting out my career at 19 I started working in salons in and around Bury before moving to Manchester city centre where I have spent most of my career to date. Whilst working in the city I got the opportunity to work on so many different projects and train under some amazing names including training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy.
In exploring all aspects of hairdressing and colouring I found my true passion in the industry, vivid colouring and technical cutting. Even before I became a stylist I had been dying my own hair the brightest colours I could find and once I had the scientific knowledge to back it up I really excelled. My love for cutting came out of my philosophy of your hair working for you not you working for your hair, I don't believe (unless you want to) you should have to spend hours on your hair, it should just fall into place. I work a lot with the natural texture of the hair to create looks that can be easily recreated at home.
In 2020 I won Stylist and Colourist of the Year for Greater Manchester at the Salon Awards and went on to win Stylist of the Year again in 2021.
In 2021 I decided to go out on my own as a freelance hairstylist and currently work at Alchemy Hairdressing in Prestwich.
